Experience the coast in Kragerø

From Vrådal you'll drive through Drangedal and Sannidal to the coastal town of Kragerø. The town was established in 1666 and it's a typical coastal town with nice old buildings and narrow streets.

The area around Kragerø, with its coastline with hundreds of beautiful and characteristic islands, the warm and stable climate in the summer, rich birdlife and plenty of fish, has since the 1920s been one of the Norway's most popular holiday destination.

Painters like Thaulow, Peters, Munch and the towns own Th. Kittelsen have found subjects and inspiration in the town and the coastline. Berg Kragerø Museum have cultural historical collections and in walking distance from down town Kragerø is Gunnarsholmen Kystfort and Badeplass. Sightseeing, shopping (e.g. antiques), exhibitions and a boat trip to Jomfruland are great activities on a day trip.

Drive back the same way to Vrådal.
